Assistant Producer

Job Description:
We are currently looking for someone to implement the content publishing schedule, under the instruction of the Head of Content & Production, with particular responsibility for the international regions’ websites for History and Crime & Investigation Network.
The role will require you to provide support to the Head of Content & Production. You will have shared responsibility with another Assistant Producer for the daily maintenance of the UK History, Bio and Crime & Investigation Network sites. But you will have primary responsibility for the daily maintenance of the International History and Crime & Investigation Network sites.
You will need to review site usage and making suggestions to improve editorial content, assist in the launch of new sites and features on the site and ensure editorial tone and imagery conforms to established guidelines. Additionally, you will select and edit images for use on the site, write descriptions for video clips for the site and write articles and create other bespoke content.
Working collaboratively across the business you will liaise with the Marketing and Production teams to implement web publishing schedules in a timely manner and to a high standard for the international websites. And also work with the Commercial area of the business to successfully implement sponsorship deals and competitions.
The successful candidate will need to have web editorial experience at an Edit Assistant / Assistant Producer level. Familiarity with Content Management Systems and web analytics tools are crucial. You will also need to be Photoshop proficient and have an understanding of SEO techniques. You need to have a calm approach to stressful situations with a proactive attitude to problem solving, and have an obsessive attention to detail.
