Continuity Assistant


Location: Middlesex

Permanent/Part-time

Job Description: We are currently looking for someone to provide administrative and operational support to the Continuity Manager, working across the A+E Networks UK portfolio of channels. This is a part time role – 18 hours a week.

The role is centred on the administrative function which is integral to the running of the team. You will be required to prepare continuity and menu script templates to required deadlines and in line with schedule and channel specifications. You will also need to maintain the Continuity programme information library: check supplied programme synopses (supplementing and sourcing missing information where required), and upload to FTP; upload/delete promos; and request and upload programme viewing files.

Additionally you will source and re-distribute audio/data/script files to relevant continuity staff and internal/external departments. As well as prepare scripts, and if required, paperwork for recording sessions. You will also liaise with external continuity personnel and internal departments as necessary and carry out general administration and ad-hoc tasks. A further requirement will be to provide holiday cover for Continuity Manager.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent administrative and organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail; along with good communication and interpersonal skills. Fast and accurate word processing skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are crucial. You need to also demonstrate the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; and problem solve with common sense approach and initiative. You need to be motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team or alone.

Junior Creative Producer


Location: Middlesex

Permanent/ Full-time

Job Description: We are currently looking for someone to support the development and production of effective and innovative: on-air promotions and campaigns, off-air marketing tapes, sponsorship credits, interstitials, home entertainment and short-form programming for all our brands. This will be done with appropriate support and supervision from senior members of the Creative team.

You will be required to select, edit (including packaging, when required) and distribute programme clips, as briefed by Marketing, Digital Marketing and Digital Media teams. Additionally you will conceive, script and produce on-air promos and other creative projects, to both verbal and written briefs. And under the supervision of the Head of Creative, re-version existing promos (oversee edits, direct voice-overs) for all UK channels and Virgin TV.

Working closely with the Heads of Creative, Head of Production, Creative Producers, production companies and Marketing, you will develop creative work, ensuring that production, technical and legal delivery requirements are met. You will also work closely with other key internal departments to meet and improve working practices and to build and improve relationships with internal and external clients.

The successful candidate will need to have good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), as well as good technical knowledge and a keen interest in new technology developments. Television production experience or demonstration of creative production skills is crucial. You need to be accurate and calm under pressure and demonstrate the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
