Introduction
This privacy policy is applicable to any personal information ("User Information") which is given by You to AETN UK via the web sites located at www.history.co.uk, www.crimeandinvestigation.co.uk and www.thebiographychannel.co.uk and all its related channels ("the History Sites"). "You" shall mean You, the user of the site, "AETN UK" shall mean HISTORY its associated companies and "the History Sites" shall have the meaning as set out above.
AETN UK respects your right to personal privacy. We collect and use information through the History Sites only in the ways disclosed in this statement and in accordance with all laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal data including the Data Protection Act 1998. This statement applies solely to information collected by AETN UK at the History Sites.

AETN UK protects user information with the following security measures: secure server, firewall, SSL encryption, limited staff access to data.
AETN UK reserves the right to perform statistical analyses of user behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the History Sites and to inform advertisers of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to or clicked on their advertising banners.
AETN UK will provide only aggregated data from these analyses to third parties.
AETN UK is not responsible for any actions or policies of any third parties who request personal information directly from users and You should check the applicable privacy policy of that party.
