16 January 1920 – The Prohibition Act is implemented in America

May 1927 - Supreme Court rules that bootleggers pay income tax

14 February 1929 – St Valentine’s Day Massacre

16 March 1930 – Capone first incarcerated at the Eastern Penitentiary

6 October 1931 - Capone is tried in the Federal Court

17 October 1931 – Capone is found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to 11 years

25 January 1947 – Al Capone dies, age 48
