Trivia

Cliff's first car was a grey Sunbeam Alpine with red leather seats.
A comment by the character Minnie Caldwell on the TV show Coronation Street led to a change in Cliff's diet. The line “Isn't that Cliff Richard a lovely, chubby lad?” prompted him to give up his favourite drink of Tizer with a scoop of ice cream.
The most controversial single of Cliff's career was his cover of ‘Honky Tonk Angel’. After discovering at a Christian conference that this song was about a prostitute, he withdrew it from circulation and even requested DJs return all copies. It became his lowest selling single ever with little more than 10,000 sales.
Cliff earned a blacklisting from the United Nations for touring South Africa. While later touring Scandinavia, Cliff's hotel received a bomb threat as a result of the South African tour.
Cliff has his own range of perfume called 'Miss You Nights'
