Ewan McGregor Biography

- His parents, James and Carole McGregor, are both teachers.

- Is a nephew of Scottish actor Denis Lawson, who played Wedge Antilles in Episodes 4 - 6 of Star Wars.

- Ewan and his wife Eve have the same initials, even with her maiden name.

- Was voted no. 9 in the Channel Four list of the Greatest Movie Stars of All Time.

- Is a casual supporter of St. Johnstone Football Club.

- Is a UNICEF Ambassador; in 2006 he adopted a 4-year old girl from Mongolia whom he met whilst travelling around the world on his motorbike.
