Gladys Knight Biography

- Gladys joined forces with fellow musician Ron Winans to launch ‘Gladys Knight and Ron Winans Chicken & Waffles’. The concept of Chicken and Waffles was born in Harlem, New York in the 1930's at Wells restaurant. Many celebrities hung out in the late night hours and many could not decide if they wanted breakfast or dinner. So the concept of combining both breakfast and dinner was born.

- In 1995, Knight was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
