Gordon Brown Biography

During the 1997 election campaign, Brown is reported to have worked 18 hour days, six days a week, with an hour each morning running on the treadmill.

His relentless hard work left so little time for romance that he eventually had to publicly deny rumours that he was gay.

His wife believes that if anyone was to portray Gordon in a film, it would have to be Hollywood heart-throb George Clooney. (Tony Blair was portrayed in all but name by Pierce Brosnan in the 2010 film, ‘The Ghost’.)

Gordon is named after his mother’s brother who was a member of the Conservative Party.
