Guy Richie Biography

Ritchie is a keen practitioner of martial arts, having trained in karate since he was seven. He also holds ranks in judo and Brazilian jujitsu.

He is apparently a fan of Chelsea Football Club. He also directed a football commercial for Nike called ‘Take It To The Next Level’, which starred some major names in professional football including Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Cesc Fabregas, Arsene Wenger, Ronaldinho, and Zlatan Ibrahimovich.

Sting is the godfather of his and Madonna’s son, Rocco Ritchie.

Ritchie and Madonna adopted a Malawian boy in 2006, and they named him David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie. David’s godfather is Rupert Everett.

Richie has cast Jason Statham three times in leading roles. He has also worked with producer Matthew Vaughan (Claudia Schiffer’s husband) three times.
