- The song ‘Magic Man’ is about Ann Wilson moving to Canada to be with Mike Fisher. Ann’s mother never voiced any of the concerns stated in the song lyrics.

- Heart had a dispute with Mushroom Records relating to an advertising campaign which implied that Ann and Nancy Wilson had an incestuous relationship. Ann’s anger from this episode resulted in her writing the song ‘Barracuda’.

- When Dreamboat Annie (1976) was released, Ann and Nancy Wilson launched their own press campaign, calling radio stations around Canada asking them to play their songs.
