- The song ‘Magic Man’ is about Ann Wilson moving to Canada to be with Mike Fisher. Ann’s mother never voiced any of the concerns stated in the song lyrics.

- Heart had a dispute with Mushroom Records relating to an advertising campaign which implied that Ann and Nancy Wilson had an incestuous relationship. Ann’s anger from this episode resulted in her writing the song ‘Barracuda’.

- When 'Dreamboat Annie' (1976) was released, Ann and Nancy Wilson launched their own press campaign, calling radio stations around Canada asking them to play their songs.

- 'Magic Man' was written by Ann Wilson about the band’s manager and her love interest, Michael Fisher.

- In the 1980s, Ann began to suffer from panic attacks on stage and developed stage fright as a result of her weight gain.

- In January 2002, Ann had a gastric band fitted in order to lose weight.

- Ann Wilson has two adopted children, Marie and Dustin.

- In June 1986, Nancy Wilson married screenwriter and director Cameron Crowe. She had a cameo in his film, ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ (1982) as the ‘girl in the Corvette’ and went on to score some of his movies, including ‘Jerry Maguire’ (1996) and ‘Almost Famous’ (2000).
