Joe Pasquale Biography

The squeaky-voiced king of the jungle and winner of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Joe worked as a Civil Servant and a builder before he discovered a love of entertaining as a Green Coat at his local holiday camp.

Having worked the camps in Torquay and Great Yarmouth, he moved up the ranks to Entertainments Manager and started entering talent contests. In 1987 he came second in the ’New Faces’ final and went on to win the show in 1993.

Rumour has it that Joe’s trademark squeaky voice is due to the fact that he was born without an ‘Adam’s Apple’. Despite having been described as "a demented helium balloon", Joe’s first comedy video grossed more than £1 million and earned him a Platinum Retail Performance Award.

Joe remains one of Britain's top 'live' touring comedians and regularly sells out shows around the country. He is also rumoured to be a favourite of the Royal family, which goes some way in explaining his many Royal Variety performances.

In 2001, he was the only British star to appear in a 25th anniversary show to celebrate 'The Muppets'.

Despite writing ’The Big Thick Joe Pasquale Book’ and appearing in his own TV during the 90s, Joe’s big time break came when he won the ITV reality series ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’.

Thanks to the show, Joe is currently enjoying a career revival as a cult hero.
