Manic Street Preachers Biography

The Manics were invited to play a concert in Cuba in 2001 with Fidel Castro as the guest of honour. Castro later declared that the concert was "Louder than War”. The band then used this quote as the title for a DVD of the Cuban trip.

The title of the band’s fifth album –‘This Is My Truth, Tell Me Your's’ - is taken from a speech by the mid-century Labour party politician, Aneurin Bevin
