Matt Dillon Biography

Dillon has never married, but has dated several of his co-stars, including Diane Lane and more famously Cameron Diaz.

Inspired by the life and recent passing of his friend (a Kenyan activist who inspired the Rachel Weisz character, Tessa Quayle, in ‘The Constant Gardener’ [2005]), Dillon recently joined the board of Refugees International, an advocacy group based in Washington D.C., to educate himself and raise global awareness about post-cyclone Burma.

Dillon co-owns a bar called The Whiskey in NYC's Paramount Hotel and a restaurant in New York called The Falls.

Dillon’s grandmother is the sister of two famous comic artists, Alex Raymond, creator of Flash Gordon, and Jim Raymond, who drew Blondie.

He smokes a Cuban cigar a day, and his apartment is packed with Cuban and jazz vinyls.

He made cameo appearances in Madonna and The Pogues music videos.
