Michael Douglas Biography

- Douglas is a supporter of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation and was appointed a UN Messenger of Peace by former Secretary General Kofi Annan.

- The divorced actor criticised several Hollywood stars including Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt for divorcing their spouses. He later apologised saying he had been misquoted.

- In 1997 a New York caddy tried to sue Douglas for $25m for allegedly smacking him in the groin with an errant golf ball, causing the victim to lose a testicle. The case was settled out of court.
