- Is born under the astrological star sign of Gemini.
- Is 5ft 11 inches tall, and was the tallest member of The Beatles.
- His favourite singers were Little Richard and Elvis Presley.

- Wrote his first song at the age of 14; it was called “Little Girl”.
- Although all the Beatles songs are credited as “Lennon and McCartney”, he actually only wrote 27 songs in partnership with John Lennon.
