The archetypal movie mogul founded MGM and established Paramount Pictures before moving into independent production.

An account of the Polish child who emigrated to America and grew up to become one of the most powerful men in Hollywood, founding MGM and helping to establish Paramount Pictures. Samuel Goldwyn was famous for his catch phrases (such as "include me out") and his "film-of-the-book" policy that led to such productions as ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’.

A one-time Hollywood mogul archetype, he reinvented himself as an independent producer, forming a company that became the model for later independent producers.
