Sir Sean Connery Biography

- Connery wore a toupee in all of his Bond films. He began losing his hair at 21. Privately and in most other films he doesn’t wear a toupee.

- He turned down a trial for Manchester United football club to pursue his acting career.

- Although he is applauded and also derided for sticking to his native Scottish accent despite the nationality of the character he is playing, Connery claims it’s out of respect for Scotland.

- Connery is the honorary chairman of the Friends of Scotland organisation.
