- Caused scandal when he broke up with long-time lover Mia Farrow and married their adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn.

- He and Mia Farrow started a long public legal battle of their three children which was finally won by Farrow. He was denied visitation rights with Dylan O'Sullivan Farrow and could only see his biological son Satchel, (now 'Ronan Seamus Farrow') under supervision. Moses Farrow aka Misha chose not to see his father.
