Who could ever forget the gin-swilling Sue Ellen Ewing, replete with shoulder pads long before Dynasty, staggering around Southfork Ranch with a permanently tearful expression as she suffered the brunt of J.R. Ewing’s evil ways?
Linda began her professional acting career on “Marcus Welby, M.D.”, and the comedy series “All The Glitters”, but it was her award winning portrayal of ‘Sue Ellen’, in the legendary TV phenomenon “Dallas”, that brought her international fame and critical acclaim, earning her an Emmy nomination for Best Actress, Germany’s Bambi Award (which is equivalent to the United States Academy Award), Italy’s Il Gato for Best Actress on television, and she was voted Woman of the Year from the Hollywood and Radio Television Society.

After eleven unrivalled years on television, “Dallas” is still in syndication around the world and still enthralling audiences.

As well as a host of other TV appearances and stage plays, she most recently starred in London’s West End production of The Graduate, playing ‘Mrs. Robinson’ to sell-out audiences and great reviews. She also replaced Kathleen Turner on Broadway during Turner’s vacation from the play. She continued this role for a special two-month engagement in November and December of 2003 playing in key American cities to standing room only theatres.

Always keenly interested in directing, Linda made her directorial debut on “Dallas”, gaining experience working as a director on the show, Linda made her theatre-directing debut with “Murder In The First” in April 2000, a play adapted from the film version, written by Oscar nominated Dan Gordon.

She starred in the award winning and controversial play “The Vagina Monologues” for a limited engagement in January 2004 in Atlanta and in March 2004 in Beverly Hills, California.

With a lifelong interest in charitable causes, Linda is following in the footsteps of the late [urlnew=http://www.thebiographychannel.co.uk/biography_home/281:0/Audrey_Hepburn.htm]Audrey Hepburn[/urlnew], being named Ambassador of Goodwill for the United Nations. She has already completed her first mission to Nicaragua, creating a documentary film for the United Nations on women and children’s health issues. Her next project mission took her to India.

Never one to take it easy, Linda has formed her own production company, L.G. Productions, and has several projects in development. She is currently in pre-production on an original story and will make her motion picture directorial debut later this year. She resides in Los Angeles, California.
