Gabrielle Bobb filmography

In 1993, South Londoner Louise Gabrielle Bobb was a night club singer in Soho. However, the moment that most artists can only dream of came true when her debut single ‘Dreams’, became a monster number 1 hit in several countries. Three more top twenty hits followed from the top ten album ‘Find Your Way’.

After the success of her first album, Gabrielle wasn't heard again for three years. However, having reappeared, sporting a new haircut and minus the eye-patch, Gabrielle released her first new material for almost three years. The mowtown inspired ‘Give Me A Little More Time’, peaked at number 4 in the UK charts, and hung around in the top 40 for almost twenty weeks.

Hot on the heels of the singles success, the critically-acclaimed self titled album was released, along with two new tracks ‘Forget About The World’, and ‘If You Really Cared’. Later in that year, the album was re-released, with two new songs. The cover of ‘Walk On By’ and the duet with East 17, ‘If You Ever’. In 1997, Gabrielle won the Brit award for best British female.

Another long wait preceded the next new haircut and new material. Top five smash ‘Sunshine’ was released in late 1999/early 2000, and then her second number one, ‘Rise’, her own lyrics on top of Bob Dylan's ‘Knocking On Heavens Door’. The album of the same name was released soon after, and has become her first number one album.

A greatest hits album, ‘Dreams Can Come True’, coupled with hit song from Bridget Jones' Diary, returned Gabrielle to the top ten once again. Her most recent album, ‘Play to Win’ has not lived up to the commercial success of ‘Rise’, but Gabrielle has a certain knack of re-inventing herself and producing quality music for the masses.
