Just like the original broadcast, this 1 hour special kicks off with Status Quo’s ‘Rockin all over the World’ set to a spectacular montage of footage from all of the countries that took part in this truly global experience, including: Australia, Germany, Holland, Japan, Russia, UK and the USA.

This television special then goes from strength to strength with a provisional track listing which includes legendary performances from Sir Bob Geldof and The Boomtown Rats, Queen, Sting and Phil Collins, U2, David Bowie, The Who, Elton John, Madonna, Bryan Adams, Status Quo, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Tina Turner.

July 13th, 1985 saw the largest scale satellite link-up and TV broadcast of all time. Organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in aid of famine relief in Ethiopia, the main sites for the event were Wembley Stadium, London, and JFK Stadium, Philadelphia with the concert growing in scope as more acts were added on both sides of the Atlantic. As a charity fundraiser, the concert far exceeded its goals and became one of, if not the, most famous musical event of all time in the process.
