Bertie and Freddie enjoy all the perks the spoilt only children of wealthy parents would expect. Bertie has an extensive wardrobe of designer clothes and likes nothing more than lunches at Chelsea gastropubs.

Freddie spends his time power-boat racing, sailing and hanging out on millionaire’s row in Poole. Nothing unusual there - except that Freddie and Bertie are both dogs.

Their owners freely admit that their pets are child substitutes, totally adored and spoilt - nothing is too good for them. However there is a dark cloud approaching over the horizon.

Until now Bertie and Freddie have been the focus of their owners' undivided attention, but their lives are about to change and not necessarily for the better.

Freddie’s owners, Rebecca and Max are having a baby. Bertie’s owners, Caroline and Hugh, have to go away on business. How will they cope? More importantly, what are their owners going to do to ensure that their dogs aren‘t devastated?
