Don Johnson, a Flat Creek, Missouri native, first studied acting at A.C.T. in San Francisco. Among his earliest appearances was as early Dating Game contestant. Kicking around Hollywood, young and handsome, Johnson worked steadily and garnered a reputation as a rakish ladies' man.

At 22, Johnson began dating 14-yr old Melanie Griffith, after a rumored affair with her mother, Tippi Hedren, while all three were shooting The Harrad Experiment. Johnson would go on to marry Griffith twice over the next 20 years, and he's the father of a total of 5 children.

Johnson vaulted into pop stardom (and kitsch legend) as Detective Sonny Crockett in the wildly cinematic, ground-breaking TV cop drama Miami Vice and has never had to look back.
