[h3]The daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu, Lisa Marie was born into a life of luxury, but her father's volatile character made an impression on her and she was subject to a great deal of media intrusion.[/h3]

At the age of five, her parents divorced acrimoniously, and when she was only nine Elvis tragically died. Lisa Marie was at the house at the time. Elvis left his entire estate to her, to be taken over when she turned 25 (this was later changed to 30).

Lisa Marie's late adolescent years were filled with partying, drugs, and alcohol, until at eighteen, she became a Scientologist.

In 1988, she married musician Danny Keough and had two children. The marriage lasted five and a half years. During the early 1990s, Presley was in the public eye for establishing or attending many Elvis-related events.

Twenty days after her split with Keough, Presley married [urlnew=http://www.thebiographychannel.co.uk/biography_home/933:0/Michael_Jackson.htm]Michael Jackson[/urlnew]. Their marriage became the focal point of tabloids throughout its short life. Though she swore that she was at one point madly in love with him, Presley filed for divorce in January 1996.

Still in the limelight, Presley appeared on the cover of Vogue and was also in the news after establishing 'Elvis Presley's Memphis', a now successful restaurant and nightclub. She was also a presenter at MTV and VH1 awards shows, and established her own Scientology centre in Memphis.

When she turned thirty and became hugely wealthy, she was still the subject of media rumour. Her engagement and subsequent break-up with John Oszajca and then romance, and brief marriage, to [urlnew=http://www.thebiographychannel.co.uk/biography_home/30:0/Nicolas_Cage.htm]Nicolas Cage [/urlnew]in 2002 were popular news stories.

She released her debut album, 'To Whom It May Concern', in April 2003.

In December 2005, Presley and her mother appeared at the gala opening of Scientology's controversial "Psychiatry: An Industry of Death" Museum, which puts forth a conspiracy theory connecting Adolf Hitler to the psychiatric profession.
