BIO is already getting excited about the next Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’, but before Daniel Craig explodes on the big screen for his second outing as the super spy, there are laughs aplenty to be found in upcoming spoof spy film ‘Get Smart’, crashing into a cinema near you from Wednesday 20th August.
'Get Smart’, starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson, is a faithful big screen tribute to the classic 1960’s US television show of the same name. Created by satirists Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, the series and now film joyfully lampoon the secret agent genre, in particular, Ian Fleming’s intriguing, sexy and action packed world of 007. With Secret Agent 87, aka Maxwell Smart (aka Steve Carell, quite frankly in the role he was born to play) vying to be the world’s greatest spy, we check out the competition from a selection of the most influential spy characters of the last decade.
