Kung Fu Fighting this Sunday on BIO

To celebrate the premiere of our new biography on martial arts legend Jackie Chan, BIO is serving up a knock out evening showcasing some of extraordinary martial artists who made Kung Fu the Hollywood hit it is now.

7pm Lucy Liu
She became known after starring in the television series Ally McBeal and has also appeared in several notable film roles, including Kill Bill and Charlie's Angels. We check out the life of the stunning, deadly Chinese-American actress.

7:30pm Jack Black
Ok, so he's not known as a martial artist per-se, but Jack Black did voice Po, the star of DreamWorks' recent blockbuster animated hit 'Kung Fu Panda'.

8pm Steven Seagal
A fascinating portrait of a man who spent 15 years studying martial arts and philosophy in Asia, returning with black belts in aikido, karate, judo and kendo, and as a committed Buddhist, to boot.

9pm Jackie Chan
Premiere
This is the story of Jackie Chan’s journey from a Beijing acrobat to Hollywood superstar. Co-produced with Jackie Chan’s company, this programme features compelling intimate moments with never seen before footage from Jackie’s personal cinematographer.

10pm Bruce Lee
The original Kung Fu film star, Bruce Lee want from cult hero to posthumous movie icon, and his 'fists of fury' set the mould for future martial arts stars like Jackie Chan. But Lee mysteriously on set, as did his son, leading to suggestions of a curse upon the family.

11pm Chuck Norris
He fell in love with martial arts while serving in Korea and was soon teaching Hollywood's elite. Student Steve McQueen encouraged him to act, and one of cinema's nicest tough guys was born.
