Julianne Moore is the Greek goddess Hera

Julianne Moore

Hollywood actress Julianne Moore has become a Greek goddess after being revealed as one of the faces on the 2011 Pirelli calendar produced by famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The American actress, who turns 50 tomorrow (December 3rd), is among the models appearing in the black and white limited edition calendar that has become a collector's item due to its nudes.

One of the oldest women to pose for the calendar, which dates back to 1964, the Oscar winning actress appears as the goddess Hera, but protects her modesty, unlike the other models.

Dutch model Lara Stone, the wife of British comedian David Walliams, also appears on the calendar as the goddess of beauty Aphrodite.

Moore has appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films, including The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Boogie Nights, The End of the Affair and Far from Heaven.

She was recently seen in Chloe, 30 Rock and The Kids Are All Right.
