Kelsey Grammer engaged to British girlfriend

American actor and comedian Kelsey Grammer has revealed plans to tie the knot with his British girlfriend Kayte Walsh, an air hostess who is 26 years his junior, it has been reported.

The 55-year-old, who is best known for his portrayal of psychiatrist Dr Frasier Crane in the NBC sitcom Frasier, is engaged to the 29-year-old flight attendant, according to their representative.

"Yes, they're engaged," the source told celebrity magazine People. "They're very happy and very much in love. They never announced it because he wanted to be discreet and enjoy the good news privately."

The engagement comes just weeks after Grammer's third wife Camille Donatacci, who stars in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, filed for divorce in August from the award-winning actor.

In addition to playing Dr Frasier Crane for two decades, Grammer is the voice of Sideshow Bob on The Simpsons, for which he won an Emmy in 2006, and he has appeared in films such as X-Men: The Last Stand.
