Britney Spears gets engaged for third time

'Oops I did it again' singer Britney Spears has revealed that her boyfriend Jason Trawick proposed on 16 December.

She even showed off the three carat diamond ring by Neil Lane at a party held in Las Vegas to celebrate the couple's engagement and Jason's 40th birthday.

Britney took to her Twitter page and wrote: "Still glowing,About to jump on a plane to Planet Hollywood in Vegas.

"Throwing a Bday Party for Jason at Chateau Night Club. So fun. Xxoo"

Jason, who used to be Britney's agent, stepped down from the role when they started dating in 2009.

Earlier this year, he appeared as Britney's criminal lover in the music video for her single 'Criminal'.

Britney has been married twice before. She wed childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander in January 2004 in a ceremony in Las Vegas. It was annulled after three days.

In October that year, she married dancer and rapper Kevin Federline. They had two children – Sean Preston and Jayden James – before divorcing in November 2006.
