Jennifer Lopez named 'greatest musical comeback'

Jennifer Lopez has been named the greatest musical comeback of recent years, according to a study by Accuracast.

She topped a list of singers who have recently regained popularity online using data of over one billion searches made on Google.

The most talked-about comeback act in the UK was Take That, who reformed in 2005, but J-Lo won on a global scale, reported Music Week.

The 'Jenny from the Block' singer beat Mariah Carey to first place as she has worked as a judge on American Idol this year.

J-Lo has also enjoyed a hit single called 'On The Floor' with rapper Pitbull this year.

Farhad Divecha, managing director of the firm, is quoted as saying: "The UK results feature more bands than the US. They also show the importance of sustaining a comeback.

"The Spice Girls reunion was just that and Rage Against the Machine saw incredible interest around a Christmas record before immediately falling back to previous low levels."

J-Lo also announced her separation from husband Marc Antony, with whom she has twins, earlier this year.
