Young Royals pay tribute to British troops

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton along with Prince Harry paid tribute to brave British troops last night (19 December).
They attended the Sun Military Awards in Central London, which honours those who have shown outstanding bravery or overcome adversity in the field.
Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, who wore a black strapless Alexander McQueen dress, presented the award for Most Outstanding Soldier award to 26-year-old sergeant Ryan McCready, who won the trust of an Afghan community and keeping out the Taliban.
"This is a truly well deserved award. Sgt McCready, you exemplify to an extraordinary degree the unique qualities that make the British soldier second to none: courage, steadfastness, professionalism, sense of humour and a deep humanity," said Prince William.
The award for Overcoming Adversity was given to private Scott Meenagh, who lost both legs to a Taliban mine in Afghanistan and has gone on to win medals at the Endurance Games in the US for water skiing.
David Walliams presented the True Grit award to private Lee Stephens for jumping from his tank to tackle a Taliban fighter.
The ceremony, which is now in its fourth year, gave out a total of 11 awards.
