Back to the Future to become Broadway show?

The classic 'Back to the Future' film, which was made in 1985, could be transformed into a Broadway show.
Deadline reports that writer and director Robert Zemeckis is currently in early talks along with his co-writer Bob Gale to pen a script for the stage adaptation.
It is thought that the original composer Alan Silvestri has also been approached to help create a Broadway version of the film.
'Back to the Future' starred Michael J Fox as teenager Marty McFly who gets trapped in the past after escaping from terrorists in a time-travelling Deloreon, created by Doc Brown, who was played by Christopher Lloyd.
Two more films followed, which grossed almost £1 billion worldwide.
Fox was already known for his role in 'Family Ties' but he was catapulted to stardom after playing the main role in the Back to the Future trilogy.
Since then, he has appeared in 'Teen Wolf' (1985), 'Light of Day' (1987) and 'Casualties of War' in 1989.
In 1991 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease but has continued working in both TV and film as well as for research into finding a cure for the ailment.
