Blur confirm gig to mark end of the Olympics

Britpop band Blur have confirmed they will be playing at a concert in Hyde Park later this summer to mark the end of the London Olympics 2012.
The event will take place on 12 August and the newly reunited group will be joined by New Order and The Specials on stage.
On the band's Facebook page, they stated: "We're rowing in … going for gold ... grabbing the baton ... for the high jump ... No, hang on, is that right?
"Fact is, Blur have accepted the invite to headline the Olympics' Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert in Hyde Park on 12th August."
The gig has been organised by BT London Live as part of a series of special events to mark the Games but Blur fans will have to pre-register at a special website to get more ticket information.
Tickets will be available from 9am on 24 February.
Blur first came to fame in the 1990s, with their third album 'Parklife' (1995) winning four Brit awards.
The group have been on a hiatus since 2000 occasionally reuniting to record songs or perform live. Earlier this week, they debuted a new song entitled 'Under the Westway'.
