Found superhero footage film Chronicle tops box office

New science fiction film 'Chronicle' has topped the UK's box office after opening on Friday 3 February.
The film is presented as footage filmed by teenager Andrew to document his day-to-day life.
Andrew and two of his friends end up gaining telekinetic powers and the footage shows how they deal with this and how they use their new-found powers.
'Chronicle' took £2,193,072 over its opening weekend taking it to the top of the UK box office.
Dwayne Johnson's 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' came second in the box office grossing £1,200,527.
In third place was George Clooney's 'The Descendants' for which Clooney has been nominated for the Best Actor Oscar.
This film took £1,112,964 in ticket sales over the last week.
Former top of the UK box office film 'War Horse's [Horse'] has slipped down to fourth, followed by Adam Sandler's new comedy 'Jack & Jill'.
In sixth place is 'Man on a Ledge', with 'The Grey' in seventh followed by 'A Monster in Paris' in eighth.
The top ten is completed by 'The Artist' and 'Carnage', which is director Roman Polanski's latest offering.
