Ghost snapped on Clevedon Pier?

Ghosts have been spotted on Clevedon Pier.

A photography student has taken a photo of a ghostly apparition on Clevedon Pier in Somerset, where several sightings have already been reported.

Matthew Hales caught the ghostly image at 6:30am despite the pier not opening until 10am.

The Metro reports that the student only spotted the ghostly figure, standing on the end of the pier looking out to sea, after checking each frame when he got home.

He had used a time-lapse technique to take a photo every 30 seconds over a space of 15 minutes, with the figure appearing in just one image.

The 17-year-old is quoted as saying: "When I went through the pictures I was surprised to see the figure of a man standing on the pier - it was almost like he was looking straight at me."

He added that there was no shot of the man walking to or from the spot on the pier.

This is not the first time that ghostly going-ons have been reported at Clevedon Pier as members of the local angling club have claimed to see spirits looking out to sea.
