Robin Gibb wows with first public appearance since cancer battle

Robin Gibb has made his first public appearance in five months

Former Bee Gee Robin Gibb wowed the crowds at the Coming Home concert at the London Palladium on 13 February.

It marked his first public appearance in five months as he was diagnosed with liver and colon cancer last year.

He performed with the military trio 'The Soldiers' to sing 'I've Gotta Get a Message to You' which was recorded to support last year's poppy appeal.

Gibb also sang the Bee Gee classic 'How Deep is Your Love' before being greeted with a standing ovation.

An audience member told the Daily Mirror: "Robin looks wonderful, as well as he has done for ages, and his voice was sounding great.

"He's still got such a unique sound, it was a real honour to watch him as I know he has been very ill. Everyone was thrilled to see him looking so well."

Gibb recently told BBC Radio 2 that he has been treated by a brilliant doctor and the results have been spectacular.

He added that the cancer has almost gone and he feels fantastic.

The 62-year-old was one of the founding members of the pop group 'The Bee Gees', who released five platinum albums during the 1970s.
