Hollywood Walk of Fame honour for Donald Sutherland

Veteran Hollywood actor Donald Sutherland is now the proud owner of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame following the unveiling of the accolade this week.
Friends and family turned up to see the star being unveiled outside the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, next to the star of his son, Kiefer, who received similar recognition over two years ago.
After receiving the honour, Sutherland joked that having a star on Hollywood Boulevard was better than a headstone at a cemetery because he could "come and visit".
"I could get a chair and sit here, or a bucket and a mop and clean it, and make sure that people don't step on it," he said.
The 75-year-old Canadian character actor has had a career spanning nearly 50 years, during which he has won two Golden Globes and walked away with several other gongs and nominations.
Sutherland has appeared in more than 160 titles including The Dirty Dozen, Klute, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Ordinary People, The Art of War, The Italian Job, Pride and Prejudice and Reign Over Me.
