George Michael jets off on holiday after recovering from pneumonia

George Michael is on the mend

George Michael looked well on the road of recovery after suffering from pneumonia at the end of 2011.

He was seen last night on 11 January on his way to Amsterdam with his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, looking in good health.

This is the first time that the 'Careless Whisper' singer has been seen in public since being released from an Austrian hospital in time for Christmas on 22 December.

In October 2011, Michael was forced to cancel a concert at the Royal Albert Hall due to a viral infection but his health got worse and he was sent to a hospital in Vienna in November complaining of chest pains.

It was revealed that he was suffering from pneumonia and he was forced to cancel the remaining dates of his 'Symphonica' tour.

On 3 January, the former Wham! frontman was voted the Best Male Artist in a Virgin Music Poll.

At the time, Michael said: "My God. I should catch something life threatening more often if this poll is anything to go by! Hehe!"
