Katy Perry dominates People's Choice Awards

Katy Perry won five People's Choice Awards.

Katy Perry dominated the People's Choice Awards, held in the US on 11 January as she won five awards.

The 'One That Got Away' singer won the Favourite TV Guest Star, Favourite Female Artist, Favourite Song of the Year, Favourite Music Video and Favourite Tour Headliner during the evening.

Earlier this week, the popstar cancelled her appearance at the awards using the micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the news.

She was set to make her first public appearance after her actor and comedian husband Russell Brand filed for divorce over the festive season.

Other winners at the awards, which are voted for by the public, included 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two;', which took home four awards, and actress Emma Stone who won two honours.

Neil Patrick Harris from 'How I met your Mother' won Favourite TV Comedy Actor, while Nina Dobrev from 'The Vampire Diaries' took home the prize for Favourite TV Drama Actress.
