Madonna attends premiere of directorial debut

Madonna descended on London with the stars of her directorial debut 'W.E' for its UK premiere on 11 January.
The popstar, who will be releasing a new album this year, was joined by Andrea Riseborough, who plays Wallis Simpson, James D'Arcy, who plays Prince Edward, Richard Coyle and Natalie Dormer on the red carpet.
A-List star Kanye West and royal Princess Beatrice also showed their support for the film, which is released on 20 January in the UK.
On the red carpet, Madonna said: "I hope people will leave the film thinking "Wow", with a whole new perspective on the story," quoted the Metro.
The film tells the story of American divorcee Wallis Simpson and her love affair with Edward VIII, who abdicated from the English throne in 1936.
This love story is interspersed with the modern story of a Russian secretary guard and a married woman.
Madonna rose to fame in the 1980s as the Queen of Pop with hits including 'Like A Virgin', 'Like on a Prayer' and 'Papa Don't Preach'.
