Robin Gibb determined to play charity gig

Robin Gibb wants to play at a charity gig.

Robin Gibb is determined to perform at a charity gig in support of the Armed Forces despite his current battle with liver cancer.

He is planning to perform three live songs at the Coming Home show on 13 February at the London Palladium.

After a medical examination, Gibb has been given the go-ahead to perform at the charity gig.

The 62-year-old has said he hopes the concert raises £50,000 for UK soldiers who have been wounded in action.

He said: "I'm looking forward to appearing if possible and being able to continue my support for our service men and women."

It is thought that he will perform Bee Gees classic 'How Deep is your Love' as well as 'I've Gotta Get a Message to You' with soldiers including Richie Maddocks and Gary Chilton.

Gibb was one of the founding members of the famous pop band The Bee Gees, who had released five platinum albums by the end of the 1980s.
