Robin Gibb vows to continue charity work

Robin Gibb has vowed to continue charity work despite having cancer

Former Bee Gee Robin Gibb has vowed to continue supporting charities despite undergoing intensive chemotherapy for liver cancer.

Earlier this week, the 62-year-old had to pull out of attending a charity event for Rock the House due to his illness.

His management have now stated that Gibb was upset to miss the event but will continue to support charities close to his heart, reports the Mirror.

Gibb's spokesman and friend Mick Garbutt is quoted as saying: "He’s determined to keep supporting good causes which he believes in strongly even as he fights this terrible illness.

"While he can still use his profile to raise awareness for issues close to his heart he will always do so."

He added that Gibb is looking forward to the release of his first classical composition, created with his son, the 'Titanic Requiem'.

Gibb was part of one of the best-selling groups of all time 'The Bee Gees'.
