Seal and Heidi Klum confirm separation

Soul singer Seal and his supermodel wife Heidi Klum have confirmed that their seven-year marriage is over.

In a joint statement released on 23 January, the couple revealed they will be divorcing as they "have grown apart".

The statement read: "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."

They added that it is an amicable process and the wellbeing of their children will remain their top priority.

Seal and Heidi have three children together, including Henry aged six, Johan aged five and two-year-old Lou. Seal is also the adoptive father of Klum's daughter from a previous relationship Leni, aged seven.

The pair married in Mexico on 10 May 2005 and used to renew their vows on every anniversary.

Seal is known for his international hits 'Crazy' and 'Kiss from a Rose'.
