Vanessa Paradis deems Johnny Depp split rumours 'false and hurtful'

French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis, who has been in a relationship with US actor Johnny Depp for the last 14 years, has claimed rumours about a split are false.

Over the last week, numerous media outlets have claimed that the couple are currently on the rocks and may even have split up.

On the TV chat show Le Grande Journal, she hit out against the rumours, labelling them false and hurtful.

She said: "People say we are buying houses in the middle of nowhere, or that we have fifty two houses in France. And that is along with saying we split up every winter and get married every summer, and that I'm on my twelfth pregnancy.

"All that is not too serious, but this latest one is a rumour which could cause a lot of harm to my family and my children."

The couple have two children together, Lily-Rose who is 12 and Jack aged nine.

Depp had a rocky personal life before settling down with Paradis, who he met in 1999.
