Oscar dress 'lands Joan Collins in hospital'
Actress Joan Collins has revealed how the gown she wore for this week's Oscars landed her in hospital.
Writing for the Daily Mail, the former Dynasty star revealed that she fainted in her husband's arms at the Vanity Fair party.
"Not quite how I had expected to end this glamorous night. Nevertheless I put myself in the care of professionals at the hospital's Emergency Room," she explained.
"There, after an hour of tests, the doctors discharged me with stern admonishments not to wear such tight dresses - and to eat in future if I was expected to last the pace at the fabulous Vanity Fair party."
The 77-year-old star, who wore a tight beaded purple number for the event, revealed that she first attended an Academy Awards ceremony in 1957 with actor Paul Newman and his wife Joanne Woodward, who won a gong for the film Three Faces Of Eve.
