Twilight 'wants Pattinson and Stewart reunited'

Twilight

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has revealed that she would like to work with stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart again.

Speaking to E Online, she said the pair are "wonderful" and extremely close to her heart.

"I'd love to [work with them again], if the right project comes up at the right time, that would be awesome," Hardwicke commented.

Referring to the romance between the Twilight leads, she added: "I was exactly right there when they first met, so I saw it all from the beginning.

"I saw that they both had that wonderful fascination with each other and that's why I cast Rob."

The director is currently promoting her latest film Red Riding Hood, which stars Amanda Seyfried.

The film opens later this month and has been developed by Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way production company.

Speaking recently, Seyfried said there was a "buzz" on set every time the Inception actor made an appearance.
