Liam Gallagher expands Pretty Green menswear line

Singer Liam Gallagher has announced plans to open a new clothing store in Glasgow.

The former Oasis frontman will expand his Pretty Green clothing label to Scotland next week as he moves to build on the success of the brand.

Pretty Green, which currently has a store in London's trendy Carnaby Street and concessions in Selfridges in London and Birmingham, was named Menswear Brand of the Year at the recent Drapers Fashion Awards.

A spokesperson for Pretty Green confirmed that the store will be opened in Glasgow next week but declined to give further details about the actual location of the shop.

The 1960s-inspired line is expected to feature a diverse range of pieces in its Autumn/Winter collection, including a "Lennon" military jacket, a "Macca" trench coat and a Jimi Hendrix-inspired red velvet jacket.

Prices range from £35 for a T-shirt up to £555 for a parka. The line has built up a loyal following, with celebrity fans including Kasabian lead singer Tom Meighan, AC Milan footballer Paolo Maldini, Liverpool and England player Joe Cole and boxer Amir Khan.
