Sheryl Crow puts mansion on sale via online auction

Singer Sheryl Crow has adopted a unique way of selling her sprawling estate in Tennessee after the 10,264 sq ft home failed to attract any buyers, it has emerged.

The 48-year-old singer-songwriter, guitarist and actress has placed the French style Cross Creek Farm featuring a three-storey, five bedroom mansion nestled on 150 acres of land on sale via an online auction.

It is described as boasting "magnificent countryside, modern 14-stall barn, large pond and exquisite architecture [which] distinguish this picturesque setting" and Crow features on the marketing material.

The mother of two has lived on the property, which is a fully functional Solar Farm that generates over 40 per cent reduction in electric costs, for more than six years.

Backing vocals for Tina Turner, collaborations with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti and Sting, as well as her own hit releases, have earned Crow a legion of fans wordwide.
