Hobbits reunite for tenth anniversary of 'Lord of the Rings'

The four actors who played the hobbits in the box-office hit 'Lord of the Rings' have reunited for the tenth anniversary of the film.
Elijah Wood, who played the main hobbit Frodo Baggins, Sean Austin, who played his best friend Sam, Dominic Monaghan, who played 'Merry' Brandybuck, and Billy Boyd, who played 'Pippin 'Took, have taken part in a special photo shoot for Empire Magazine.
The foursome have also reminisced about the film that 'changed their lives' and made them stars.
'Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring' was released in 2001, the first of three films directed by Peter Jackson based on the JRR Tolkien books.
Wood, who is now 30 years old, told the publication: "It feels like ... It's 12 years ago in August that we all flew out there, so it feels crazy to conceive of that span of time, but at the same time, it doesn't feel like that much time has passed."
The actors added that they developed a rapport instantly and have remained friends to this day due to the intensity of the filming schedule.
In 2012, Wood will be reprising his role as Frodo in 'The Hobbit', a prequel to 'Lord of the Rings' also directed by Jackson.
Wood first appeared in a feature film at the age of eight when he played a cameo role in 'Back to the Future Part II' in 1989.
