Iron Man 'changed everything' claims Robert Downey JR

Robert Downey JR has revealed that 'Iron Man' changed everything for him as it helped get his career back on track.
The first installment of the films, which are based on a series of comic books, was released in 2008 and opened the doors to other leading roles for the American actor.
He told the Los Angeles Times: "[The first one] was a meditation on responsibility and an exploration of how a small group of people can take a two-dimensional idea and, if the winds are right, create something that makes people say, 'That was my favourite movie of the year'."
The actor went on to explain that his role in 'Tropic Thunder' (2008) which led to an Oscar nomination was 'cathartic' and one of the happiest times of his life.
During the 1990s, the actor was in and out of jail and rehab for a number of drink and drug-related offences but following 'Iron Man' he has got back on his feet.
The actor will next be seen in 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows', which is released on 16th December.
