Scott Henshall - the man behind the world's most expensive dress - has been dominating the Red Carpet since 1998 when, at the age of 22, he became the youngest designer to show during London Fashion Week. In 2000, Scott won the Vidal Sassoon Award for Cutting Edge Talent and later that year was made Creative Director of British luxury brand Mulberry, where The Times credited him for taking the Mulberry brand into the 21st Century.
Scott was named "King of the Red Carpet" (Daily Express December 2004) and "Creator of the Message Dress" (Hillary Alexander, fashion director of the Telegraph, July 2002). He received further acclaim in 2002 when he dressed supermodel Jodie Kidd in a web of lace for the Spiderman premiere. For the Spiderman 2 premiere he created the world's most expensive dress, a £5 million diamond cobweb dress worn by Samantha Mumba.
Scott's own labels have sold in Harvey Nicols, Harrods, Joseph, Koh Samui, Mimi, Colette in Paris, Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, Fred Segal in LA, Joyce in Hong Kong, Le Ciel Belu, Isetan and Abahouse in Japan. He retains full artistic control of his label "Revisitation by Scott Henshall" - from the collection, to the shop interior, to the marketing and advertising of the label. He now has over 300 stockists worldwide and 17 own label stores.
Behind the scenes, Scott is an Ambassador for The Prince's Trust. Last year, he received a prestigious award from the Queen at Buckingham Palace for his contribution to English fashion and design and will soon receive an honorary Doctorate from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle.
In 2006, Scott appeared on ITV's reality series I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here and went on to be the fashion mentor for WAGs Boutique (ITV2). He regularly contributes to programmes such as The Clothes Show and various glossy magazines.
Scott, 30, originates from York and loves juggling his time between a busy media career and his international fashion empire.
